We are trained by Master Lec Chaikeawrung
of Singnakornchai camp, Thailand.
Master Lec was a former professional Thai boxer with over 400 fights experience. As
the vast majority of our members are new to any form of martial art training sessions will start off simple. Initially, the basic moves and techniques are taught and as things progress light sparring will be introduced.
A typical training session involves:-
warm-up & stretching, pad work, pair work, fitness (ie circuits) & cool-down

Equipment
Initially no equipment
is needed to participate. Just come along wearing shorts/baggy trousers and t-shirt
that you don't mind getting a bit dirty and sweaty. However, ankle supports and hand wraps are recommended. These can be bought cheaply at any sports shop at around £3 each. The club will also have various kit sales during the year where you can order your equipment.
As things progress
and advance, light sparring will be introduced during training sessions. Here
you will need gloves and groin guard. Optional items are mouth guard and shin
pads. Ask a member of the committee for advice before purchasing equipment if
you need any help.
